Chuck and Lisa Mangus have been actively riding and racing their tandem for about 10 years. Prior to their focus on racing, they raised their two amazing children. Currently they operate a physical therapy practice. Lisa comes from a triathlon background, placing high in her age groups. Chuck has had a passion for the bicycle since high school, participating in transcontinental bike tours and three decades of USCF bike racing. Together team Mangus has been on the podium four times in two years at the Masters National Cycling Championships in the tandems category in Bend, Oregon. They are still chasing their dreams of a National Championship and a Stars and Stripes jersey. Andy and Kami White
Andy and Kami have ridden on tandem for the past 24 years. Living in both Boulder CO and Tucson, AZ, these hubs for elite cyclist training have rubbed off. For the last 5 years they have gravitated toward the most challenging courses. Where ever they could find extreme climbing and endurance races, they took that challenge. They find endurance riding suits the tandem well; leveraging teamwork to overcome the mental challenges these rides offer. Among many tandem course records they hold, in 2013 they became the first tandem to complete the Colorado Triple Crown, the toughest series of double centuries in the country, setting three tandem course records in the process. A typical year for the team includes traveling around the west to ultra-distance events like Tour de Park City, Cochise Classic, Lotoja or the HooDoo 500 stage race. Andy & Kami bring to the team perseverance and mental tenacity to endure the toughest stages.

Jonathan and Emma Dixon
Jonathan and Emma came to ultra-distance cycling from a joint love of cycle touring and growing addiction for cycle randonneuring. 2011 was a pivotal year in this transition, starting with a self-supported 3 month tour in Patagonia, being the sole tandem to finish La Marmotte cyclosportive in the French Alps and culminated in completing the historic Paris-Best-Paris 1200km Grand Randonnée.
After moving to California in 2012 they continued riding regular long distances and earning multiple RUSA honors such as American Randonneur Challenge, two R-12 awards and the first tandem to earn R70 honors. In 2013 they where the only tandem team to complete the Davis Gold Rush Randonnée, and completed a further two 1200km brevets in 2014, including a sub-67 hour California Central Coast (3CR). On the grueling Climb to Kaiser race they were the first tandem back. They are excited to participate in RAAM enriching the team with their multi-day ultra-long distance capabilities.

Dan and Winnie Brehmer
Dan and Winnie’s first tandem ride together involved a rental bike out of San Francisco and a jaunt up Mount Tamalpais. Since then, their love of the climb has only grown as they spend their weekends riding through the beautiful mountains of Northern California. This year they were one of just a few tandems to complete the Markleeville Death Ride, an infamous single-day 5-pass climb fest in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. They’ve also been the Northern California Time Trial Champions for the past two years and have won silver medals at Masters Nationals in Bend, Oregon. They are excited to bring their need for speed and love of the climb to the LS&G team!
It takes great goals to lead us out of our everyday limits into accomplishing more than we ever thought we could or would.
