The logical start to this post is to leap over missed time and introduce our incredibly capable new team. That makes sense, right? Somehow that feels like a do-over, a resurrection, like nothing has happened over the last, uhhhhhmmmm 6 years. Nothing is further from the truth. Technology has changed and altered the way we connect and communicate and as soon as one direction is understood, a new direction is discovered and we learn all over again how to stay connected and how best to communicate. Sometimes in a flurry of the new, the original ways to stay in touch are left by the side of the road. You remember when phones were actually used to make calls? Similar theory here.
Instead of remaining in a pause mode, LS&G has continued. We took women on tours, we had kids on bikes, we raced the good race(s), we set records and benchmarks, we (so far) have weathered a pandemic by keeping our heads up, our lights on and the wheels rolling forward. Mostly. It is with a sense of community and headstrong focus that LS&G has thrived and is still standing or, more appropriately, racing forward. When our toolbar drop down is clicked on “We Support,” many of our supported causes are highlighted. It is amazing how much we have been able to do with the commitment of so many dedicated and very, very, very (makes me tired how very) energetic souls.
With that it is time to introduce our incredible 4-woman team for 2022. These four (plus one!) hail from North Dakota and are as tough as the winter winds. All are accomplished triathletes and cyclists, and not only will they be contenders in RAAM for what could amount to a new record, but they are supporting a huge new endeavor within their community. The Gaia Home is a brand spanking new premiere non-profit organization providing end of life care for the Bismark community. LS&G will be well represented both on the race course and will pack a punch on a grassroots level. A big happy dance is happening right here and now. Please take the time to meet our new team here and learn about Gaia Home here. Most importantly, show your support by making a donation here. The bigger the base, the harder we pedal.
And so as the wrinkles are slowly ironed out in what we hope will be a smooth road ahead, stay tuned for more news and happenings. There will be many activities and events in the months to come and we can hardly wait to include you in our slip stream!
