Julie Lyons

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Julie Lyons is a pre-title IX athlete who found the joy of sport in her 40s.  After completing her first triathlon wearing all her running clothes during the swim (minus the shoes), she has gone on to explore and embrace her athletic potential.  Successfully conquering every distance of triathlon, Lyons took up bicycle racing when she realized that she didn’t have to wear her age marked on her calf and a tattoo wasn’t required.  She has raced RAAM three times and Race Across the West [RAW] once.  In addition, she co-founded and is president of Love, Sweat & Gears, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, inspiring and training anyone interested in cycling for the purpose of recreational fun or competitive sport combined with a healthy lifestyle.  Lyons has a handsome husband, nicknamed “Doc”, two successful adult daughters, and a dog.  She is proud to be a Colorado native and resides in Greenwood Village.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”45″][vc_column_text]
