She can be found working in her vast garden, walking Cash, the golden retriever, fishing with her family, and pedaling through some of the most storied terrain in the Western U.S. and Canada.

As a cycling specialist at the century (100 mile) distance, Kim, who believes there is no better way to enjoy nature than on a bike, has endurance rides around Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, Crater Lake, McKinzie pass, Mount Hood and Mount Constitution behind her. 

As a speech pathologist, Kim has helped countless elderly patients to establish communication and maintain quality of life while facing tender end-of-life choices. She is a staunch advocate for patient choices, comfort, and completing life’s journey with dignity among loved ones. Because of her personal and professional values, Kim is excited to join in the 2022 Race Across America in support of Gaia Home.

Fun Fact: Kim is super excited to be on this adventure with her sister, Karin, and also never rides without Skittles in her back jersey pocket.
