[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]I am a cyclist relatively new to the ultraendurance community, following a series of stints in other sports. Previously, I’ve done gymnastics, rock climbing, fencing, running, aerial acrobatics, and powerlifting. I started biking just about 2.5 years ago, and started racing in Fall 2018. After dabbling a little in USA Cycling Races, I shifted my focus to the ultraendurance races. In 2019, I completed the Race Across the West solo, as well as picking up course records on HooDoo500 and The 508. Outside of cycling, I work as a software engineer for Google in Los Angeles. I am racing on behalf of the Union of Concerned Scientists.
The Union of Concerned Scientists is a science advocacy group working on tackling several issues with science-based solutions. Some of the major issues include combating climate change, increasing renewable energy, and protecting forests and other undeveloped land.
