Lacey is from a small mountain town in California and has a serious love for the outdoors. As an outdoor enthusiast, there is not an activity that Lacey won’t take on. She is constantly looking for the next big challenge to tackle – setting her goals high!

About three years ago, she finally packed up and moved to Colorado to explore a new state, a new job, and new opportunities. One of the fun things about starting over is discovering new passions, which soon included triathlon with an emphasis in cycling.

Over the course of the past several years, Lacey has taken on a handful of local cycling races including Elephant Rock, the Triple Bypass and even the Tempe 70.3 Ironman. Endurance cycling was introduced to this team back in 2021 when they decided to take on Race Across the West as a 4-person team. They were so excited and trained for months! About 300 miles into the race, Lacey was struck by a semi-truck causing serious injury removing her from the race. From there the remaining team had a big decision to make…. Pushing through to the finish line was no easy feat, but they did it! The team set a goal to come back with a vengeance and tackle Race Across America in 2023!

To support their cause this year, the team will be riding to bring awareness to Adaptive Adventures, a local non-profit. This group is phenomenal in helping individuals overcome physical disabilities and become active in sports as well as in the wilderness. This ties in with her belief that no matter what life throws at you – there is a way to achieve greatness, no matter what that looks like.

There is no stopping her with the amount of sheer grit and determination she has when facing new obstacles and challenges.
